Mary Hardy

Mary Smith Hardy is a native of Simpson County, Magee, Mississippi. Mary graduated from Jackson State University with a double major in special and elementary education.
She earned her Master of Education (M. Ed.) from the University of Mississippi and her Education Specialist Degree (Ed. S.) in special education from Delta State University. She has served more than forty years as an educator in several areas of education and as an executive director for Greenville Renaissance Scholars. She has a love for the arts, especially writing, and is the author of two books: Uncle Hubbard and the Burlap Sack (2018) and Snippets of Truths: Memories of a Southern
